Thomas Cook Sport is delighted to have been appointed as an Official Licensed Operator for the British & Irish Lions 2009 tour to South Africa.

Thomas Cook Sport intends to run various tours for 1, 2 or 3 test matches along with the provincial games as required. Our tours will cover the major cities (Pretoria, Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town) as well as the Garden Route, Winelands, Victoria Falls and game reserves.

Accommodation: We will use a variety of 3-5* hotels as well as various guesthouses that we have secured. All accommodation will pass Thomas Cook's stringent health and safety procedures that we adhere to worldwide.

Flights: We will operate direct flights from London to Cape Town and Johannesburg as well as some indirect flights from various regional airports in the UK and Ireland. We have allocations of economy, premium economy and first/business class to suit your needs.

Match Tickets: All packages contain guaranteed official match tickets. You will also have the opportunity to upgrade your ticket to include either a) on-site official hospitality or b) access to a private bar facility close to the stadium. Different ticket types are subject to availability at the time of booking but you are guaranteed match tickets.

Excursions: We will offer a full range of excursions throughout. Based upon customer feedback our intention is to make these "opt in" rather than always included in the package.

Transfers: Each tour will include airport transfers and match day stadium transfers. Tours will also include a mixture of internal flights and luxury coach transfers.

Staffing: The tours will be staffed by experienced Thomas Cook staff from the UK & Ireland as well as local representatives. Our staff will be on hand throughout to ensure that you have a safe and enjoyable trip.
